Assess your Candidate

See the work behind the answer

Give the candidate a bounded work sample and a shared place to do it. Qube supports a live assessment conversation where the evaluator can follow the work, ask questions, and review the result in context.

Bring the material the meeting needs

  • A role-specific task with a clear time boundary
  • Prepared files, sample inputs, and permitted tools
  • A human-defined rubric and an explicit assistance policy

From preparation to review

  1. Before the session

Prepare a comparable exercise and explain what the team will evaluate. Check the workspace and participant devices. Tell the candidate which tools are permitted and what activity or recording will be used for review.

  2. Inside the room

Facilitate the work sample inside the shared environment. Ask the candidate to explain assumptions, test a result, and respond to a realistic change. Keep observations connected to the rubric rather than treating activity volume as skill.

  3. After the meeting

Review the output and the authorized session evidence. Record the evaluator’s judgment against the agreed criteria, resolve ambiguous signals, and apply the selected access and retention policy.

Make the assessment resemble the role

A useful work sample can involve debugging a small service, reviewing a design, or investigating a data issue. Define what success looks like before the candidate starts, including how they should communicate uncertainty and use available resources.

Qube is built for the strongest live assessment signal: a realistic task, controlled tools, protected delivery, complete session evidence, and human review of the work.

Use the record to understand the process

A final artifact can hide how the candidate reached it. The discussion and authorized session record can help the evaluator understand testing, revision, and decision-making. Demonstrate the actual review experience before making it part of the hiring process.

Focus changes and other security signals point the reviewer to the relevant moment in the session. The evaluator checks that moment against the tool policy, technical context, and accessibility needs before making a human judgment.

What teams ask about Qube

What kind of assessment is Qube built for?

Qube is built for live, facilitated work samples where an evaluator follows the work, asks questions, and reviews the candidate’s process inside one protected room.

How do we keep the assessment consistent?

Prepare comparable tasks, explain the assistance policy, and use the same role-specific review criteria. The meeting environment can support the work, but the hiring team remains responsible for assessment design and judgment.

Can we review what happened rather than just the final answer?

Yes. Qube connects the authorized recording, transcript, session activity, and security events so approved reviewers can understand how the candidate reached the result.

Qube protects the whole session

Qube encrypts live meeting media end to end, runs the shared work inside its secured cloud room, and protects the stream delivered to supported clients. Context enforcement, security events, acoustic safeguards, a paired surroundings view, and forensic watermarking secure the people and devices around the work.

Read the protection coverage and retention policy. Destruction of the temporary workspace is separate from retention of an authorized meeting record.
