Proctoring and a shared working environment

Qube vs Talview

Talview offers assessment, proctoring, and interviewing products. Qube provides a shared cloud room for a live conversation and the work inside it. Start with the hiring or assessment workflow, then compare the exact modes you would deploy.

When Talview fits

Evaluate Talview when you need its assessment or proctoring workflow, candidate-verification offering, or supported interview products. The selected product and deployment determine the candidate experience.

When to evaluate Qube

Evaluate Qube for a facilitated interview or work sample where participants use a shared cloud workspace. Define the task and the human review process; do not assume a question bank or automated assessment system is included.

Compare the controls and their conditions

A documented feature, an operating condition, and a measured result are different evidence. “Not established” means the reviewed sources did not establish an equivalent; it does not prove absence.

Encryption and trust

Separate network encryption from proctoring, identity verification, and protected output. Talview’s published product descriptions are not an independent measurement of detection accuracy. Qube’s architecture is not independent proof of enforcement either.

Where the work runs

Talview’s secure-browser and interview experiences vary. Qube places working tools and files in its cloud session. Compare the particular task, required applications, and participant setup rather than the product names alone.

Recording and review

Ask each provider which evidence is captured in the selected mode and how reviewers access it. For Qube, evaluate the authorized session record and retention settings with the actual workflow.

Choose the assessment before the controls

An examination with many candidates is different from a live engineering discussion. Decide whether you need question delivery, proctor operations, identity checks, a coding exercise, or a conversation around the candidate’s work.

A Qube work sample can bring the evaluator and candidate into the same working environment. The hiring team remains responsible for the task, permitted assistance, evaluation criteria, and final decision.

Check what the candidate must run

Talview describes multiple experiences, including a downloaded Secure Browser and newer browser-based product descriptions. Confirm the actual invitation, operating-system requirements, and deployment with the provider.

Qube’s normal joining flow uses a browser, but the required presentation protection still depends on the client. A no-install claim should never be stretched into a promise that every device supports every security control.

Review evidence without turning a signal into a verdict

An identity alert, a focus change, and a recording are different kinds of evidence. Ask what each event means, what can create a false signal, and how a reviewer can inspect the underlying session.

Use a realistic trial to see the candidate’s onboarding and the evaluator’s review. Include accessibility needs and a documented response when the intended device cannot satisfy the policy.

Questions before the meeting

Does Talview always require an installed browser?

The reviewed materials describe different products and modes. Its downloaded Secure Browser has installation requirements; other current descriptions mention browser-based experiences. Verify the assigned mode rather than making a universal claim.

Does Qube replace an exam platform?

This comparison does not claim that Qube provides a complete exam-delivery or proctor-operations system. Its focus is the live room, shared working environment, and authorized evidence for review.

Is deepfake detection independently proven by this table?

No. A vendor’s description and an independent accuracy study are different evidence. Qube does not publish a measured deepfake-detection result in this comparison. Verify any proposed identity control separately.
