Qube security explained
Protect the interview from unauthorized AI
Hidden interview assistance is partly a question of what another tool can see and hear. Qube moves the work into a shared cloud room and provides presentation controls that can reduce exposure on supported clients. Start with the capture path you need to address.

Looking for a Zoom alternative because of AI cheating?
A different video-call brand alone does not establish protection against unauthorized interview assistance. Network encryption, application restrictions, shared cloud execution, and a protected presentation path solve different parts of the problem.
Qube is worth evaluating when you want the candidate and interviewer to work inside the same cloud environment and need to assess restrictions on the delivered view. Confirm the required browser, operating system, hardware, and session policy before relying on those restrictions.
Put the working environment inside the room
A candidate can join through a browser and work on a prepared task in Qube’s shared computer. Source files, tools, and working state used there run in the cloud session rather than requiring the task to run on the candidate’s local machine.
That gives the interviewer a common place to investigate the problem with the candidate. It also changes the boundary for collecting an authorized session record. It does not establish that the candidate has no other device or outside assistance.
Test the view and the audio separately
An assistant may receive screen images, transcribed speech, or information captured by another device. Reducing one of those inputs does not prove that all of them are unavailable. Protected video and protected audio need separate evaluation.
A cloud workspace alone does not prevent local OCR of an ordinary displayed view. Supported protected playback can add a restriction at that presentation boundary. The actual result must be observed on the intended client, including failure behavior when the required protection cannot be negotiated.
Choose the controls for this interview
Prepare the exercise, agree on permitted tools, and verify the joining devices. Qube describes session context controls, a paired surroundings view, and an acoustic-leakage control that can be evaluated alongside the protected presentation path.
Treat these as separate layers with separate conditions. A second camera adds visibility; it cannot prove that no other camera exists. An acoustic signal about sound reaching the room is not a measurement of every operating-system audio capture path.
- State whether AI assistance is prohibited or permitted inside the exercise.
- Use a bounded task and appropriate follow-up questions.
- Explain observation, recording, and review arrangements before the session.
- Review unusual events in context rather than automatically rejecting a candidate.
Ask for a demonstration against your threat model
Use the candidate devices and capture methods that matter to your team. Record the observed visual and audio result, the policy that was negotiated, and what happens when protection fails. If a named tool such as Cluely or Interview Coder is part of the evaluation, record its version and actual behavior rather than treating a product name as a test result.
Physical cameras, external microphones, verbal coaching, and human disclosure remain possible risks. Qube’s coverage page states the architectural conditions and the limits of the evidence published here. No universal AI-proof claim follows from the design.
Questions before the meeting
Is there a meeting platform that stops AI from seeing an interview?
Qube offers a cloud working room and supported protected-presentation controls to evaluate against local capture. That is a conditional capability, not a guarantee against every AI tool, device, or physical recording method. Validate the actual client and method.
Can ordinary E2EE prevent an AI assistant on the viewing device?
E2EE and local capture are different boundaries. A participant must still receive the content in a usable form. Whether another application can access that presentation depends on the client and any additional protection, not the encryption label alone.
What if an AI tool listens to system audio?
Test that audio path independently. This page does not establish universal prevention of system-audio or loopback capture, including on macOS. Speaker leakage, an external microphone, and operating-system capture require different checks.
Does Qube replace the interviewer’s judgment?
No. Agree on the assessment policy, ask relevant follow-up questions, and use the authorized session evidence to understand the work. A security event is not an automatic verdict about cheating or hiring fitness.
